For the last few years, I have turned from sculpture to two-dimensional graphic art: monotype printmaking, and digital pigment prints from my photographs. With the monotypes, I have found I can explore the possibilities of two-dimensional composition with great rapidity, and have finally been able to transcend figurative art, producing monochrome and polychrome abstractions. I have been printing under the tutelage of Carol Brighton, and have had seven of my works included in a show with the Deakin Street Printers, at the Mountain View Performing Arts Center.
I have started to realize a desire I have had for a while, to master digital photography workflow, and my see my images as large-scale prints. Working at Berkeley City College, I am developing a portfolio of photographic prints, and started composing digital images from other sources. I have a body of prints of landscape, wildlife, and a few portraits.
